There are many ways to download movies, music, books, and software for free. Torrent streams are arguably the most popular way to do it. But sometime it’s very cramp breaking when we are trying to download and we either get a very low speed or a dead torrent due to the swarm having no seeds, not enough peers to cover the full release, or the trackers going down.

In Detail about Torrent Trackers

Torrent trackers is a server that communicates between two peers to transfer file by using BitTorrent protocol. Trackers will always keep a complete record of like the number of leeches, seeds, peers, size, files that are in the torrent and a number of downloads.
If we add more public or private tracker, client communicate with those torrent tracker to increase the speed of the download by updating more addition connection with the peers.
So to increase to downloading speed of weak torrent. We will add additional public or private tracker for increasing torrenting speed in software like Utorrent etc.

How to Setup & Get it done ?

 
If we are downloading on a P.C or a laptop every popular torrent client/software is providing the functionality of add/removing trackers in it. That is quite beneficial functionality of fixing a dead torrent or increase download speed. But In android if we talk about uTorrent, Bittorrent or any of the popular client none of them provide the functionality of adding trackers. In addition includes too much ads also.
So, here i found simple open source clients named as Libretorrent and Flud which includes the functionality of adding and removing trackers, as well as they doesn’t contain any ads also.

For Android Users:

Let’s see how to add tracker list to files on Libretorrent :
Steps:
    1. Go to Play Store and Search for Libretorrent and download the app.
    1. Once you download the app you will see two options, one for adding file and other for adding torrent using magnet url. Select anyone according to your need then your normal download will start.
 
    1. Now pause the normal download and tap on downloading file for more options, then navigate to trackers menu.
    1. Now Copy the tracker list from the given link & navigate to option menu at the top right side of your screen. Select Add trackers option.
  1. All the previously copied trackers will automatically be added to tracker list.
  1. Now you have successfully added all the trackers, you need to press that ADD button to save your settings.
  2. Go back, resume your download and enjoy download with high speed.
 
 
The list of working trackers get updated every month so, i recommend you to update your trackers list every month.

For iOS Users:

If we want to download torrent on any idevice (iphone, ipad) then either it need needs jail-
breaking or we need to use any online client like (zbigz) in which we first upload torrent
on there cloud using magnet URL or file and then we download it using their url.
Whether we are downloading torrent using any offline or online client but, it will be quite
frustrating if we are getting very low download/upload speed which stops due to the swarm
having no seeds, not enough peers to cover the full release, or the trackers going down.

For resolving this problem, solution is pretty simple. We need to update file with new
trackers which can be done by directly editing the torrent file and that’s it.

1. Make sure to download the Torrent file you are planning to download or copy magnet url,
you can use some good torrent search engine, you can check this list for some recommended
 
2.Open browser and go to torrenteditor.com, now either select From Url or From File option
and click on edit it option.

3. Remove trackers which shows connect() time out and update them by adding new trackers
from updated tracker list and click on update button.
 
 
3.Now check for the status of updated trackers and if all goes well then click on download
button and otherwise again update trackers using tracker list.
 
 
This trick for updating trackers by editing torrent file will work for all devices including android,
windows and all mac devices so, enjoy high speed torrent download & say no to dead
torrents.
